Practice Areas
There is a fairly extensive practice area at the Championship golf course allowing the full range of clubs to be used. There is a practice putting areas, a chipping area and a practice bunker.
In addition, there is a good quality putting green at the Premier club (not to be used for chipping practice) and two practice nets near the first tee.
Please note that you are not allowed to practice putting or chipping on the course (e.g. around 10th or 18th green).

Coaching
A qualified PGA Coach is attached to the Club and is based at the Championship golf shop. Members can book one-to-one coaching sessions and on-course sessions with our PGA Advanced Professional Coach

Locker Room and Trolleys
Although the Ladies locker room has a security coded lock, possessions are left at your own risk. It is inadvisable to leave valuable items such as clubs/trolleys etc. unattended outside the clubhouse.
Trolleys can be hired from Macdonald if required. Both push and electric are available.

Spike Bar
The club has a well-stocked Spike bar. All members are entitled to 10% on food and beverages bought at the bar. Opening hours are displayed behind the bar.
You may register for a general play round or competition at the screen in the bar on HDID. All score cards should be placed in the competitions box near the screen once scores have been entered on the screen or via the app on your smart phone or tablet.

Greens Room
Please note that golf shoes and spiked shoes are not allowed in the Greens Room.
Macdonald Members Benefits Passport
For those members with full membership, Macdonald offers each member a benefits passport to be used during the year. The offer may change but usually includes complimentary rounds at other Macdonald locations, free guest rounds, buggy hire, leisure pass, a 30-minute free golf lesson and discount on spa treatments. You will need to present your passport when using the benefits so that the Macdonald team can stamp it. Other benefits include 10% of food and beverages, 10% off golf shop retail (excluding hardware), 10% off accommodation in UK at any Macdonald hotel and 20% off Macdonald Spanish golf breaks.

Championship Course
If you are playing on the Championship course (whether in a competition, match or socially), then please register at the Championship golf shop before proceeding to the first tee. If you are a Premier member only, then there is a small charge for playing on the Championship course – payable at the golf shop. Please note that the passport cannot be used to play a complimentary round on the Championship course however it can be used at other Macdonald golf resorts such as Hill Valley (Shropshire), Linden Hall (Northumberland) and Cardrona and Spey Valley in Scotland.

Club White Board
Please ensure that you read the white board for any course updates before you proceed to the first tee. The white board is located facing the entrance to the golf shop at the Premier course.
