Neil moved into the area with his wife Sharon and 3 daughters after leaving the Army in 2008. He has held various committee positions and eventually Captaincy in 2019.

Steve joined Portal in 2017 after taking up golf a year earlier to ‘give him something to do in retirement’. ”Little did I imagine when I joined Portal that I would be given the honour of being Captain in 2024. With two great 18 hole courses and a full competition and social schedule, I look forward to the year ahead"

Susan joined Portal in 2012. She has been on the Ladies committee for several years, supporting the Ladies Cheshire Shield and Percival competition "We have welcoming members, with 3 courses to play, there is something for everyone. I look forward to the year ahead, with a great golf programme, and many social events"
